Welcome To My Website!
I've been keeping saltwater fish and inverts since Oct. 2000. This tank in particular had at one time been a freshwater setup but in the beginning of 2001 was changed over to saltwater. For the next 3 and 1/2 years it was maintained as a reef tank but in the late summer of 2004 two major hurricanes hit Florida in my area, (Frances and Jeanne). My tank mostly survived the first hit, but the second one just a mere 23 days later finished it off. The only survivors were my yellow tang, one ocellaris clown, two chromis, two snails and a cleaner shrimp. For awhile I had decided to go with a fish only tank, but later on missed my reef too much so I'm back at it again! |
Site Updates:
11/09/04 - started site up, a work in progress!11/10/04 - I've started to add text and photos, trying to build the site up. More to come soon! 11/12/04 - I was rearranging some rocks when I came across some ricordia corals that had survived the whole ordeal!!! Talk about tough!! It's amazing because these corals were without lighting for over two weeks, then the rock they are on was stacked in the back underneath some other rocks...truly astounding! 11/18/04 - Added some more pics and text. Fish are all doing well.... and the 3 stripes are showing mating behavior. 6/12/05 - It's been a long time since I updated this site. Slowly building the tank back up but progress is slow as other projects have come into play. The tank is (thankfully) doing very well right now...there are now various button polyps, sea mats, flower anemone, condy anemone, two large featherdusters, a skunk cleaner shrimp, two peppermint cleaners, two sandsifting starfish, bunch of nassarius snails, 4 mexican turbos and the fish load consists of one yellow tang, two ocellaris clowns, three 3 stripe damsels, one blue devil. |
